Promoting Hydration and Healthy Eating at the Shirdi Sai Temple of Atlanta (NASSTA): April 8, 2017

  • Distributed 100 water bottles and 40 pounds of oranges and apples
  • Brought awareness to 150 people

 

All Day Field Day at Shakerag Park: April 29, 2017

  • Brought awareness about living a healthy lifestyle to over 100 people
  • Distributed water bottles to Johns Creek Police Officers in training

 

Meditation/Information Session: May 7, 2017

  • Brought awareness to 25+ people about the importance of meditation
  • Guest Speaker demonstrated and taught techniques to relax and de-stress in order to incorporate these into their daily lives

 

Webb Bridge Hike: June 10, 2017

  • Brought awareness to 30 people about the importance of hiking and staying active
  • Distributed water bottles to hikers as well as other active people within the park

 

International Day of Yoga: June 25, 2017

  • Held a booth at the International Day of Yoga to distribute water bottles and to emphasize the importance of practicing yoga and meditation
  • Brought awareness to 900+ people

WHOLE Fit SUmmer Classes: June 19, 2017 - July 14, 2017

  • Brought awareness to +200 children about the importance of staying healthy, eating the right foods, and staying active
  • Held classes talking about food groups, vitamins, and how to stay healthy and active

 

Willstock Music Festival 2017: September 9, 2017

  • Held a booth at the Willstock Music Festival to emphasize the importance of mental health, stress, and being aware of the signs of depression.
  • Brought awareness to 900+ people.

 

CRY Walk 2017: September 16, 2017

  • Sponsored the CRY Walk and held a booth to educate people about the importance of staying active as well as focusing on children's health and lifestyle.
  • Brought awareness to 60+ people.

 

Vibha Dream Mile 2017: September 23, 2017

  • Held a booth at the Vibha Dream Mile to talk about the importance of participating in walks or runs on a consistent basis as well as about staying active and living healthier lifestyles.
  • Reached out to over 4150+ people.

 

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk 2017: October 7, 2017

  • Held a booth at the NAMI Walk to talk about the importance of balancing stress with everyday life to live mentally healthy
  • Reached out to over 1285+ people.
  • Was able to raise $250 through WHOLE Fit Wristband Sales and Donations

 

WHOLE FIt Workshop 2017: OCtober 21, 2017

  • Held a workshop with guest speakers including Dr. Nazeera Dawood, the President of the South Asian Public Health Association (SAPHA), and Ms. Radhika Mitter, a nutritionist and health/wellness coach.
  • Talked about the importance of positivity, mindful eating, and staying active at a young age
  • Reached out to over 40+ people 

 

WHOLE Fit Food Drive 2017: October 17, 2017 - November 21, 2017

  • Collected over 2500 cans of food (over 1000 pounds of food) for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)
  • Provided over 1000 meals for families around the Metro Atlanta Area

 

Elementary School Outreach:

  • Taught students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade about the importance of eating healthy and staying active
    • Talked to 80 students at Shakerag Elementary School -- September 22, 2017
    • Talked to over 250 students at Shakerag Elementary School -- October 27, 2017
    • Talked to over 250 students at Shakerag Elementary School -- December 1, 2017
    • Talked to over 250 students at Shakerag Elementary School -- February 9, 2018

 

WHOLE FIt Chapters:

  • Opened WHOLE Fit chapters in 3 local high schools: Chattahoochee High School, Northview High School, and Wheeler High School
  • Total of +200 members in these WHOLE Fit chapters

 

Recognition within the community: November 5, 2017

  • WHOLE Fit was recognized by the South Asian Public Health Association (SAPHA) at their annual Chai and Chat Board Discussion

 

Social Media Outreach:

  • WHOLE Fit has reached out to the community through social media on Facebook and Instagram
  • Has reached out to over 260 individuals through social media
